The Symbol, HBO's tremendously advertised new series from the maker of Happiness that charges itself as the "sleaziest romantic tale in all of Hollywood," debuted at the Cannes Film Celebration on Monday.

The show's stars, Lily-Rose Depp and Abel Tesfaye, were joined on the red carpet by Travis Scott, Stella Maxwell, and Julia Fox, who were dressed in a plastic gown and wore dark lipstick. They were surrounded on the Croisette boulevard by shrieking fans.

Depp — whose renowned dad, Johnny Depp, likewise had a debut at the celebration — stars as Jocelyn, a pop vocalist attempting to organize a hotter than at any other time rebound subsequent to experiencing a mental meltdown.

Tesfaye, better known as megastar The Weeknd, makes his acting debut with this show. He plays Jocelyn's love interest Tedros, a Los Angeles nightclub impresario.

Under the stage name Jennie Ruby Jane, Jennie Kim, a member of the well-known K-pop girl band BLACKPINK, is also making her acting debut on the show. The series will also feature Dan Levy, Hank Azaria, and Anne Heche, who passed away in 2022.
