RAWALPINDI: The main military representative has pummeled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Director Imran Khan for his "flippant and ridiculous charges" against a serving senior military official.
In a statement released on Monday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director-General Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that "Chairman PTI has leveled highly irresponsible and baseless allegations against a serving senior military officer without any evidence."
The head of the PTI has claimed that a senior military officer, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and a senior military officer were behind his attempt to kill himself on November 3, 2022. However, he has not yet provided any evidence to the authorities, and all of the people who are being accused have denied the allegations.
The military's spokesperson stated, "These fabricated and malicious allegations are extremely unfortunate, deplorable, and unacceptable."
